For instance, one day in Google Talk, I was having a superior intellectual conversation with our dear moderator Bento, and at one point, while debating the average speed of unladen swallows, I retort with ‘That’s what she said’.
Another example…just now a quick convo with my sister:
me: HI CAN I HAVE THOSE PICS? KTHXBAI
Sis: what?
what’s kthxbai?
me: ok
thanks
bye
Sis: what?
me: it’s a joke from all the cat pictures a couple years ago
KTHXBAI
Sis: no clue what you’re talking about but ok
me: but you say it fast
Sis: gotta run to a meeting
me: kay-thanks-bye
kaythanksbye
Sis: oh
lol
me: KTHXBAI
Sis’s new status message - Meeting… 2:31 PM
3:26 PM me: http://www.capitalcommunications.net/StoreFront/NEU-NJ3FP6C.prod
3:27 PM Bento: that looks a little big
me: that’s what she said
3:29 PM Bento: she ?
me: joke
3:30 PM as in … some random female said that to me
about my cock
i guess it’s a lame american joke
Bento: lol ok
never heard it
3:31 PM me: anything that sounds dirty you say ‘that’s what she said’ afterwards
like if someone says “wow…that looks hard”
or “that was amazing”
you respond with “that’s what she said”
it’s dumb. trust me.
3:32 PM Bento: lol
ok
when i watched the first two episodes of the american show, where the plot is exactly the same as the british original, as are most of the jokes I was like meh typical shitty american remake, but once it developed properly it got me hooked as.
Your sh*tting me ? Its unbelievably funny. Didnt it win a truck load of awards at all those terrible Ceremonies they have in the States.
The original is way better than the U.S version. Ive seen all of both and im not saying this cus im English because trust me most U.K television is rubbish.
Steve Carell is a very funny guy though “i like a do the cha cha”
