The Xone v6 (sometimes called the s6) (can a man have true love for a dj mixer…???)

Some are questioning how to EQ with that v6…hmmm…bum bum BUM!!!

The VF1! The ideal way to use these is to have 6 of them through the 6 independent send returns of the v6. Analogue Sweetness :heart_eyes:

I think that’s it…whew :tada: Quite a history of making fine DJ mixers!!

Did I miss one let me know. (the k2 hmmm.. maybe, but I don’t think it can mix external sources.)

Also I wanna hear your story about your FAVORITE A & H mixer!

http://www.allen-heath.com/uk/Products/pages/ProductsListing.aspx?CatId=XoneSeries

Yeah that’s great, but if someone doesn’t know the brand of the mixer they saw. They can quickly reference this page.

Also no legacy products listed on AH site.

Love my Xone 62!

is the 4 band EQ awkward at all?

I wouldn’t describe it as awkward, but it does take a bit getting used to it. However, I have found that I prefer using the filter to cut the bass than the EQ.

Still use the EQ for mids and highs

pretty sure the 3D came in just silver, and in the pic they’ve just stuck the ableton template on it.

Is the V6 really a DJ mixer though..? No EQ?

A&H also released rotary versions of certain mixers. Some people prefer them to faders.

Yes the V6 REALLY is a DJ mixer.

There are plenty of DJs out there that can mix 4 tunes together without any EQ.

I’d kill for a mixer like this or an old Bozak or Urei or one of the newer rotary mixers that are available today.

Yeah, but how good is that going to sound with frequencies clashing all over the place?

I never knew they did the v6, drool, hubba hubba

Mixing in key , phrasing for each track to compliment each other. That’s a dj I’d love to watch. No digital manipulation to make em fit.

Yeah, I kinda thought so but then I saw a bunch with those graphics on them. So then I wasn’t sure.

Also to some of the other posters, yes there were some models such as the 42 and 92 and maybe others that came in rotary.

Wow, the inside of the v6 :expressionless:

lol yeah it doesn’t get much better than that.

now if only the inside of my xone 22 looked like that hahaha

The xone 22 sounds awesome already, full , rounded and warm, I can’t even imagine the sound out the v6.

If you REALLY needed it you can add stuff to the V6

A good DJ doesn’t need all the bells and whistles on modern mixers. They make do with song selection coupled with incredible sound quality from one of these, a bozak, Urei or some of then newer rotary analogue mixers.

I’ll keep repeating a Buddhist qoute I heard today, as I doubt I will be able to afford a v6 for a long time.

dont forget that badass VF1 check out the OP i posted a picture.

hahaha talk about the “original modular system”
