Top 20 dance tracks of the last 20 years
BBC Radio 1 are running this little poll, it’s worth checking out purely for the sick Jaguar Skills mix of all the tunes on the shortlist.
Anyway, of the songs they’ve selected, which would DJTT vote for?

Flat beat for me. Some great tracks in that list!
Also, I saw Jag Skills at the Exeter Uni safer sex ball 2 years ago and he lives up to his name!
That list should be renamed “Commercial Dance Tracks of the Last 20 Years”
cus whilst there are some absolute bangers on the list, i could name a 100 songs that i have preferred over the passed 20 years.
I know its no big deal and its just my whining but i hate how the media just ‘assumes’ that we all like the same stuff and that they know, what we like.
A bit presumptuous if you ask me.
like karlos said, its a very comercial list but not a bad list…
tbh im very surprised that faithless Insomnia or Robert Miles Children aint on that list,
i know they were very commercialised but them tunes used to get any place rocking, and when Children was still only a white label tune, it was such a breath of fresh air, until the main stream played and bled it to death, but still brings back happy days 
on the list Cafe Del Mar gets my vote. that tune can still grab me like only a great tune can, daft punk and any of the prodigy would also get my vote
From that list I would have to flip a coin between HIGHER STATE OF CONSCIOUSNESS and BORN SLIPPY.
Funk Phenomena for me but there are some shocking inclusions and omissions.

Commercial and MAINSTREAM dance tracks - yet ANOTHER irrelevant, biased and yes Karlos, assumptive poll.
i voted josh wink - higher state of consciousness , lots of great trax in that list, but this one blew my mind when it was new.
I agree with the commercial / mainstream dance but its all about website hits for radio one, how many people visiting the site will be dj’s we could name loads of tunes that could be on the list or promo’s/white labels but most the people visiting the site would never of heard of them
If someone reads this and hasnt voted yet, copy the list and stick it on this thread, i have voted and cant view the list anymore. Was 7 days and 1 week on there
Basement Jaxx Flylife…I can rock this in any big room and get it going. Lots of great tracks on that list, why can’t we pick more than 1?
Is it just me or does Pete Tong’s voice grate on anyone else? I love BBCs essential mixes, but everytime I hear Pete’s voice I want to punch him in the face!

well if it’s based on what pete tong’s played through his career, as a celebration of his 20 years in dance music, you’d expect it to be pretty commercial now wouldn’t you 
The man uses Traktor with custom white X1s, cut him some slack!
god, judge jules’ scripted metaphors are seriously grating.
i’m not hating that list, but not loving it either…
