Is there a way to mix videos with Traktor and another tool? I thought I saw that you can use Ableton with Traktor to mix videos but I have not been successful in finding that info.
I don’t want to switch to Serato because I have too much time invested in all my cue points. Plus I like that I can create up to 10 cue points in my music as opposed to the 5 in Serato.
In addition I would rather invest the money in something to build up what I already have instead of starting over from scratch.
There are lots of options – google Google Search and such can help point the way. The main thing you want is to make sure it can be a MIDI slave to Traktor so that you send MIDI clock out from traktor and your video effects are timed based on the midi clock. There are a bunch of posts in the NI forum about it including this one iwth a video http://www.native-instruments.com/forum/showthread.php?t=79366
You could run a application on the side which handles video but there would be no synchronization (other than at best a midi clock) that would offer anything similar to being able to “scratch” a dvd.
It might help if you told us some of the synchronization between the programs that you would need.
one time a buddy told me i reminded him of bender because of my penchant for beer and smarmy commentary, it was pretty much the greatest compliment i’ve ever received.
