Traktor to Ableton - Side chaining Audio techniques

Traktor to Ableton - Side chaining Audio techniques

Hi,

I’m looking to run Traktor through to Ableton. Traktor will be used for basic browsing / looping and track selecting and then I’ll use Ableton for effects / perhaps play push over the top when I suss it.

I saw an article from Mad Zac a while back on side chaining incoming traktor audio in ableton.

He had a template but 1) I cannot find it and 2) Not sure it would be compatible with my Live 9

I gotta be honest my producer knowledge is quite low at the minute

Can anyone show me some various side chaining techniques for incoming audio?

Cheers,

Mark

this is what I’m after

sidechains

It depends on your setup.
If you have one laptop, you can use internal midi for mac for windows you need to setup jack router refer

some excellent tutorial.it uses Loopbee1 also for internal midi clock.

Once this is done you need to setup sidechains suggest you refer to dubspot tutorial by “Steve Nelapa Professory”

follow all three vids you will have idea how to create do it.

Cheers and all the best.

Regards

Thank you so much for this. Can’t wait to get out of work to have a go. Will let you know how I get on.

Have you had any luck finding the mad zach template , I am looking for it as well

Unfortunately not. How do you think we get his attention? Perhaps he could do an updated live 9 version with the glue compressor

Not sure but going to try and contact someone and find out.

Edit : messaged mad zach on facebook and google + so lets see what happens.

Nice one. I’ll have another dig around in the meantime

has anyone got this mapping ?
