Twister: disable LED segment color feedback for Shift Encoder Toggle | Ableton Live
I have my twister encoders set to Shift Encoder Toggle, so I when I push them they control a different CC Number. My problem is that when I have “shifted” the encoder, the large LED segment adjusts its color to reflect the value of the control - as opposed to just being the ON color I set in the MF Utility.
In other words if I have encoder 1 off color set to pink and turn the knob, the large LED segment will remain pink. If I have encoder 1 on/shifted color set to blue, push it to enable, and turn the knob, it will not actually be blue, but whatever color that corresponds to the CC value (ie turning the knob all the way to left will set the LED segment to black). This is pretty confusing when the value just happens to be around the same color as the non-shifted color, so I have no visual way of knowing which “shift” I am in.
To disable this behavior when using Live, I can set Output>Remote:OFF, but this has the huge negative drawback of my LED rings not being updating when manually adjusting a param in Live or with another controller.
Does anyone know how I can somehow block having the large LED segment change color while still having the LED rings update?
This problem is very specific, so hopefully I have been clear enough. Thanks in advance.
