As said before these controllers are totally different. I dunno what the hell a EDM dj plans to do with an NS7. It’ll do the job but there are better things you could get for 1/2 the price or less that will do it better. ns7 is only really good for regular, relatively simple mixing, and scratching
i think im going to go with the vci-100se
what sound card should i get ![]()
Re: Vci-100Se VS NS7
I use audio8 and love it. You could also try audio4. Many use presonus firebox.

Unless you’re planning on mixing externally, the Audio 2 will do you just fine. :3
I’ve got an ns7 and tho I find it abit limited in some ways I don’t think it should be pigeon holed as a scratch dj controller. I don’t scratch at all. I do believe it needs more updates to make it more modular, but right now I’m having plenty of fun using the ns7 as 2 “traditional” decks while ableton runs on another computer serving as 2 nontraditional decks. Right now its definitly not an end all be all solution, but personally I like that as it is very straightforward and uncluttered
If you wanna mix EDM get the Xone
X. You won’t be disappointed with it. I just got one and I love it. I spun on 1210’s for years and I don’t miss them one bit. The Xone is really easy to use and I love the instant remixing capabilities of it, so if you’re into that I would suggest it. You can get pretty creative with it without over doing it. I had a pioneer djm-800 as well and the sound quality of the Xone is far superior in my opinion. I had heard this was the case with Allen and Heath products but never realized it until I got my xone.
You realize this thread is a couple years old, right? ![]()
LOL.. You never know man… I don’t know too many people who actually own a DX so when I was looking for info on them I liked hearing from people who owned one. It may help someone out.
