What are the next 5 things you plan on buying for your setup? (Wish list)

I am currently switching back to wax.

  1. Technics turntables
  2. Rane SL3
  3. Novation Dicers (maybe SP1 - for a good price)
  4. Shure needles
  5. 8GB RAM memory for my macbook 15" Pro

For production, I might want to invest in a Focusrite audio interface. I a bit skeptical about using the SL3 as a production interface.

I am hoping to have this set up within the next few months so I can get some good practice in. I have been using controllers for the past 3 years and would like to switch back.

  1. Replace my CDJ2000 with a CDJ900NXS or an XDJ-1000
  2. Ableton Push

Just got an RMX-1000 so that’s all I really want. I’ve learned that too much gear just makes me lose focus.

Roughly in order…

  1. NI Kontrol X1 (Mk1 or Mk2…decisions, decisions) with gig bags
  2. Gig bag for 12" format mixer (I am lusting over the Magma Riot XL to haul everything)
  3. Chroma cables for everything
  4. Tascam DR-40 recorder
  5. In Ear Monitors

I can only think of three things I see myself buying in the near future:

  1. Headphones. I use the Pioneer HDJ-2000s and love them. The sound quality is great and they’re very sturdy. I’ve been thinking about buying a pair of Sennheiser’s or possibly going back to the Stanton DJ Pro 2000s.

  2. A mixer. I’ve been using the Pioneer DJM-400 since I began DJing several years ago and while it’s an excellent mixer, there’s a lot of wear-and-tear present. I’d like to get a 4-channel Pioneer, because I like to use the effects.

  3. CDJs. A pair of 2000 Nexuses, if I win the lottery or something…

I got to play with QSC K12s when I DJ’d my cousin’s wedding. THEY ARE SO AMAZING.

I’d just like to get a nice deal on some technics. They’re expensive in my area for some reason though.

There was a pair w/ a mixer for 500 on the Facebook DJ classifieds.

Other than music itself…

Acoustic Treatments. Going with GiK and doing the whole room…probably in April (it got pushed back).

Speakers. I’m leaning heavily towards Neumann KH310s, but again, April…so I’ll change my mind 100 times before then.

Monitor controller. I’m trying to figure out if a Central Station+ is going to be good enough for what I want.

and, uhh…that’s it. I’m really happy with my DJ gear. Maybe a Push eventually.

I have a DJM t-1 and a serato box but the more i use the 62 the more i like it.

I’m thinking of getting new headphones and then start building a modular synths with the Microbrute

Well I just brought a laptop so I can cross that off my list, I think the thing that I’d like is a mid-priced Midi 2 or 4 channel mixer.

just ordered a korg volca sample from djtt…excited to play it…
had ordered a pioneer RMX-1000 but was underwhelmed and sent it back.

maybe an op-1?
idk pretty happy with my set up as is.

For me it’s just another X1 mk1 and then so decent speakers. Although Im a terrible procrastinator so the speakers won’t be any time soon. Actually looking to sell my stanton cmp800’s because I don’t need them in my set up.

Truthfully, I’m damn good where I’m at right now. The next thing on my list, should be more treatment - cloud treatment over listening area for mixings and some stuff for first reflections on the side. Probably later this year.

But, hardware sequencers mesmerize me as does the MFB Tanzbar.
