I do this and it works out alright for me. Do you sync from your decks or set a master bpm on the clock itself? If you get it about right, and use tempo nudge in Ableton it can work pretty well. I use my DDM as my master MIDI clock for pretty much everything if I’m playing with all my toys at once and so far it’s worked fine
As far as dream setups, I’m pretty much there (as per sig) but I’d make a few changes:
I have read through alot of the posts, was wondering how would you run your perfect setup? with a computer and ableton, Traktor Serato? Nothing? Just wondering!

This could have me doing basically everything I’d need/want to do, including recording automation in PT with a good control surface and doing final mixdowns completely on analog gear with one of the best compressors ever made. Most of what’s listed is thought out somewhat extensively, though the Mics are mostly just things that I’ve had some experience with and kind of liked, mostly to record guitars, percussion, and voice. There are probably better choices. And I’m not sure that the Presonus is actually transparent enough for what I’d want it to do…it’s just that the Neve mini-console can’t run 3 sets of speakers, and I kinda think that’d be cool.
And I’d also want an 11" Macbook Air with Pro Tools 10 running on it just because. Oh, and insurance. Lots of insurance.
