When recording a dj set, the sound quality cames from software or hardware?

My question is, if you’re djing with your DDJ SX2 or with a superior sound quality DDJ SZ, by the speakers I can understand that quality is gonna be clear in terms of bass, sound sharpness ..etc but, in case you’re recording with Serato is that so clear?

To sum, is gonna sound the same recording from Serato a Dj set from a SX2 that from a cheaper one like Numark NV, specially because of its 16 bits soundcard?

Yes, it’s gonna sound the same. Recording when using controllers is done inside the software, not on the units.

thanks man!

When using a controller, the recorded audio will not have left the laptop, so the converters in the controller have no influence.
Heres a simplified overview, everything is black all happens in software when using a controler.
