X1 Traktor Tree Browse Mapping Question

Hey DJTT Forum…

I found this handy Tree Browse Maping for my Kontrol X1. I’ve downloaded it, and it’s working well, except for one thing.

When I press and hold Shift + turn the browse encoders to scroll through the playlists, Traktor scrolls through the track loaded to corresponding Deck. (Either Deck A or Deck B, depending on which Browse encoder I hold down) Is there a way to mod this, so that Traktor does not scroll through the track when I scroll through my playlists with the shift-browse buttons? I could not find another function mapped to Shift - Left (or Right) Browse in the Assignment Table.

I’m using Traktor Scratch Pro 2.1.2 - which I will update shortly!

I have mapped mine so the left encoder browses the playlist tree, and the right encoder scrolls through the track tree as usual.

All other functions are the same as default. Including loading to deck A with the left encoder when you push it down.

None of this is in shift mode, by the way. No real need for it if you ask me.

EDIT: Made this in Traktor 2.6, not sure if it’ll make any difference but just so you know…

This is the default behavior of the X1, so are you sure the tree browse mapping is even loaded? Even so, mapping the tree scrolling yourself as OmniRoss described is easy, no need for downloading an entire mapping.

I used the one in the original posting and found it to work well for a few months and then all of the sudden it only selected every other track and went back to the default x1 mapping.

This happens when the default mapping and edited mapping are both selected in Traktor. Disengage the default mapping and the issue should go away.
