April 1st, 2011 - SEKOIA - the lovechild of MIDI Fight Club (Studio K, Amsterdam, NL)

April 1st, 2011 - SEKOIA - the lovechild of MIDI Fight Club (Studio K, Amsterdam, NL)

With last July’s MIDI Fight Club Berlin in mind, we felt it was time to progress.
Enter SEKOIA. A more pollished and focussed concept in line with the MIDI Fight Club heritage.
This, amongst others, has impact on the line up. Which is a little more strict this time.
Not too much different genres for one night, guaranteed to keep the crowd focus more tight.

Where MIDI Fight Club was more gritty and underground, SEKOIA tends to tower high above the ground.
Aiming for light, love and environment, we refer to our symbol the old sequoia tree.
Conceived by DJTechTool members Whyte, Tekki, Hedgehog, and D (dennis), you can only guess that this party is just another name for a fantastic time!

The first SEKOIA edition will be held in the Netherlands. Where else than Amsterdam itself could be the place of the conception?
That’s right, Amsterdam, party capital of the world is determined to be the most suitable this time around!

Hmmmm, roundtrip to Amsterdam is $700…

Looks cool, i dont play any of those styles really but its a good excuse for a trip and drinkie-poos !!!

Cool! Will definately enter the competition. Till when do we get with entering the competition. And Tekki, my offer still stands if you need help…

I know Dennis, and it is still noted. At this point we had the not too many skippers on the boat vibe going, but we might call upon you.

Was kinda counting on you joining the competition. Especially with Tech House being one of the genres, so looking forward to your entries.

Ooh Karlos, drinky poos?

And JesC, at this point we don’t know what the budget is going to be. So we’re kinda preserved on the overseas invitations.

@Hedgey; Really looking forward to this one man!

too many competitions lately. does IDA qualify?

edit: disregard that, I just saw the genres. beats too straight, tempo too slow - I’m out :disappointed:
