BeatGrid Issues w Tracktor Pro

BeatGrid Issues w Tracktor Pro

Hey guys. Ive been having this wierd issue lately. Traktor doesnt detect an entire songs beat grid . it just does it like for the first few bars and some random parts of the track. yet it works fine on tracks that i had been analysed before. Just my new tracks all cant seem to be analysed properly. I havent changed anything in my setup or my laptop. Just my new tracks are all mostly deep house. anyone had this issue before?

does it even set an initial beat grid? or it just throws random transients down where some beats are distinguishable

it sets it at random places. i took a few screenshots for an example.

Im having this problem too, I think it just might be the processor because sometimes the beatgrid shows for the other parts

yeah, notice how you dont have any cues on the initial (or any) beats? you need to set an initial beat grid.

using the “CUE” option in the menu below the wav form. move the track over your first beat, set a cue point, and modify it to be “grid”

or

using the “GRD” option, set a beat grid using the icon to the left of the trashcan.

edit: sometimes traktor does it for you, sometimes it does not.

thanks so much man.. beat gridding my tracks now.

Off Topic: I like that remix of the name Traktor - Tracktor. TrackTor. Why not?

Good luck with your beat gridding!

You can set in preferences whether or not Traktor automatically beatgrids any track it analyzes.

i didnt read all the posts, but i checked the screenie and i can tell you dont have a cue point set as the grid

Yep no grids, and even if you set traktor to grid all of the tracks automatically it’s worth checking every song when you import it into your collection because I would bet money you’ll still have to make adjustments to those grids

EXACTLY
almost all the stuff i import is half a beat off and i need to fix them

I don’t really know why I have traktor set a grid on import cause I grid everything as soon as I load it anyway.

well, sometimes it gets it right. and will it calculate the bpm ahead of time if you have grid on import off?

it comes in handy if you dont have time to grid the track because you can see that its in the bpm range you need, and then you can shift the grid quickly and then cue it up

ive done this several times. it only takes a few seconds.

yes, check the OP’s pics. No beatgrid, but it has a BPM. Pretty sure the bPM is set when it analyzes the track on import.

Issue sorted .. Lets move on to your spelling  jk

haha i knew my spelling error would not go unnoticed. lol.. so far i had not much of a problem with the auto beat grid. gets it right most of the time. but sometimes instead of 128bpm. it detects as 64 bpm.

That one’s easy, just use the drop down grid menu and hit “x2”

thanks man. gona spend a good few hours today griding. lol

Thats the fun part.
