CDJ 850 HID support for Traktor coming in 2.6!!

UPDATE: CDJ 859 HID support is not present in version 2.6 of Traktor despite NI’s confirmation below. And the Technical Support at NI apaprently doesn’t even confirm their facts before they blatantly lie and mislead their customers into believing that a product is supported when it is not. I’ve updated my conversation below to show it all

Ok, I have confirmed with my colleagues that there is NO HID support for the CDJ
850 in the current version of Traktor nor can I tell you if nor when this is
planned. We have had quite a few requests however from users wanting this and
have already reported this onto the development team in Berlin. For now, you will
have to just be patient and wait.

I’m really surprised they didn’t list this within the official update status for 2.6.

I’m hoping the jog wheel is actually legit, I tried using it with the midi mapping for the 850, what a joke haha.

^Yea I don’t know why they wouldn’t mention it in the 2.6 update status.

I tried using the midi mapping as well, and it honestly wasn’t any better than something I could’ve done with my shorty mapping knowledge. I could forgive them for the Jog wheel because those are a pain to map and are always a hassle, but the other buttons and features should’ve worked well. I won’t 100% believe it until I see it, considering they told me the 850 HID support was coming out two years ago, but this is promising!

Ya that’s the only reason i’m skeptical is that it’s not listed.

That to me though would be a big feature, that’d be like them not including the new flux mode and post fader fx in the list of features. Almost like “Oh ya almost forgot this sweet feature is here”
