No worries. Down here in serbia (balkan) we call it ‘turbo folk’ (synonym for the bottom of the bottom music).
I know about the denomination of turbofolk.
I just call it “shit music that drunk people force me to put on threatening to beat me up”

Doing a nudisco set, and about 3 or 4 times per hour i get some turbofolk requests.. Or even not turbofolk, like heavy balkan rock. I mean, how the f am i supposed to integrate THAT into a nu disco set?!?
Don’t know how would you blend rock but back in the days when I had a sound system to rent and also DJ this small parties I’ve liked to drop some pumping techno kick and bass line on top of such turbo folk tunes. - One drunk guy even tried to punch on my mixer!
One time when i just was sick of all the stupid requests i turned down my previous track, and i set all the gains to max.
I then proceeded to mash up Voodoo People (pendulum remix) and the swedish version of “i am a gummy bear”.
Needless to say, i got the WHOLE bar (waiters included) to come over with faces red from anger and shock by the sudden change in volume.
That was a good laugh
I just hope their speakers survived?
They have limiters before the amps so yeah it wasn’t too harsh
