so, i figured it would be funny to share our funny stories whilst djing… i share start.
i was djing a house party a couple weeks ago, it was goring pretty great. im getting ready to mix out of a song when these 2 girls come up and start chattin with me. im sort of doing double duty, chattin with the girls and mixing (was an easy mix and they were friends of mine). so i have the incoming track in and as soon as i start to bring out the other track, one of the girls says to me, have you ever been kidnapped while djing. im like, what? no. i did have a dude try to get into the booth once, but never been like attacked or something.
all of a sudden, 2 of my friends run up from the other side of me, and grab me and start carrying me away. at this point, i am literally holding onto the table, trying to finish the mix and i manage to get the outgoing track out and turn off the bass kill on the new track before they get me out. they then take me outside and throw me on the lawn!

3 dj´s and i had the booth at one evening (all friends of mine). at around 2 o´clock we all were pretty drunk so we decided to check out some funny porn videos on a mac that was there for djing…so we´ve been whatching for a while and suddenly there was a girl comming to the booth and asking what´s wrong with all moaning during the dj sets. yap then we realized, that the mac was connected to the mixer and not muted

this happened to me about 2 years ago. Me and 2 friends where djíng a friends b-day in Brandenburg, wich is kinda like the suburbs to Berlin. we had my laptop, 3 tt´s and 2 cdj´s setup. The first dj spun pure vinyl, the other used the cdj and i used internal mixing on my laptop. When the first dj was too drunk to give a good show i connected the tt´s to my dvs.
Now there has been 3 girls right at the booth the whole time, and they´ve been watching us. They must have noticed a significant difference between spinning vinyl and dvs , which is changing the records. I didnt do that, what must have let them to believe i spin a premade mix.
So one of the girls is standing in front of the most right tt, and suddenly raises her arm and starts scratching the playing record ( westbam- beatboxrocker). zik-zak. and then stares at me like wtf, i thought you was just gimmicking the motions. I quickly resynced everything, when i noticed one of the other chicks staring at the tt, looking at me, staring at the tt… zic-zac. But this time i was prepared and westbam was cloned to the other deck. So she scratched and nothing happened. Chick was confused, went over to her friends. Chick 1 approaches me again, cursing me out that i dont dj. I ask her what happened when she scratched, she said it scratched. I smile at her and tell her to scratch again. reclone deck and, like magic, the music scratched. i was , her friend/ chick 2 was more like :eek: what made me go .
Crazy girls around the DJ booth always end up for an entertaining night! Haha you know the girls that shake there stuff right in front of you. I usually just keep my head down and pay no attention to them at all which makes them either pissed or just try to get attention even more.
One of the first raves i spun at, a gogo dancer and I made eye contact and she pointed down to her special place. She moved her undies to the side and completely threw me off. trainwrecked the mix and got caught blushing hard. ended up dating her for 3 months
I got two stories. Now keep in mind I spin for a rather… eclectic group (see: crazy goths).
First one is I was playing the last song of the night. It’s just after 4AM, all the lights are on. THis guy walks downstairs dressed head to toe in black vinyl with a cat mask on and some crazy 8" stiletto platforms. He walks up behind these two completely vanilla (see: normal) girls and goes “Heeeeeeeeeey ladies”. One turns around, screams at the top of her lungs and bolts.
Second story: it’s around 3AM and the club is kind of petering out. This guy comes down dressed in skin tight blue jeans, unlaced white high top sneakers, a muscle shirt with some 80’s hair metal band on it, a trucker cap and one epic fuckin mullet. He starts “dancing”. By dancing I mean jumping into the air and spinning around, and almost falling when he lands.
Around 10 minutes of this go by and then he decides to rip his shirt off and start doing pushups on the dance floor. Then two other guys join him. So on the floor of a dive bar where we’re pretty sure gay orgies go down Friday nights, these guys are doing pushups at 3:30AM to dance music. Needless to say, we were entertained.
Hmmn its hard to pick one. I remember spinning at a massive and im busting out a pretty cool routine and this dude is rolling face and somehow manages to react to every sound and effect and when it climaxs he yells at the top of his lungs i rule the universe. That was epic. But mainly its usual hot raver girls wondering what a midi fighter is, me showing em something simple yet cool and fucking em later that night, not exactly funny lol
im trying to think and im sure ive got some pretty good ones but the only one that springs to mind is the time i collapsed in the middle of one of my sets. would have ben hilarious for anyone watching but wasnt for me who broke the headphones and had a very sore head lol
I’m quite short and tend to hunch over while playing, middle of the night and everyone is drunk and/or on something, me included, i suddenly feel a tapping, as of someone gently rapping, rapping on my head.. so i reach up and end up grabbing a handful of my friend’s big hairy bollocks lol
lol what happened after 3 months? btw what type of music did you played? lol thats funny as hell man and im high + listening to tracks. gogo dancer means she works there? did she go to all ur parties and dance for you ?
dude i’m from new york, what type of music did you spin? and is this what you usually spin? and what club? or clubs have u been that there has always been a wild girl in who always looks to end the night in bed LOL ?
