Good Deep House Tracks?

Good Deep House Tracks?

I have lots of dance, tech, and electro house, but I am looking for some good deep house tracks that would work for less of a dance and more ambient venue. I love those hard hitting deep house beats. To start the list off:

Christian Falero mix - Dreamer
Think About Me (Chris Moody Remix)

What recommendations do you guys have?

i’m loving KINK-Detuner atm, also Back Into The Deep by someone who’s name escapes me atm!

Well, you could always jump on Beatpor/Juno, search the “Deep House” tracks and find what artists/labels tickle your fancy from there.

But some artist to check out who are always consistent;

Fred Everything
Jay Tripwire
Jimpster
Ron Trent
Motorcitysoul
Pezzner
Shur I Kan

and some labels who are doing the business on the deep house side of things;

Lazy Days
8bit
Cadenza
Echocord
Cecille
Dial
Airlondon

And that KINK tune is more straight up techno/tech house. Not even close to deep house!

hit the dj techtools deephouse mixtrain…it has four different DJs playing what they consider good solid deep house…

its in the mixes and production forum…under completed mixtrains…

Great recommendations so far, I like some of it for sure. Maybe there is a better term for the songs I am after, all these house genres get confusing. I really the sound after the drop in the Think About Me (Chris Moody Remix) at about 2:32. Also the beats between the buildup and drop in Dreamer (Christian Falero mix). And I also like What Love Is This by Chuckie. What type of house is that? Some of the deep house is almost to repetitive / minimalist. Thanks so much for the input!

Well that’s the idea behind deep house, a stripped down, sexy groove based affair. Just let the minimal grooves carry the song and mix and allow people to get lost in it.

it always seems to fit in well with my deep sets, that being said i always edge on the side of minimal anyway so most of my deep stuff is techy anyway :stuck_out_tongue:

Well he said deep house, not deep tech

Deep house is a feeling…not a genre…

Just like progressive house is a DJ philosophy, and not a genre, but don’t tell that to Beatport

For me, those parts in the songs described in my previous post give me that awesome deep housey feeling.

I’m telling it to your record box…

What?

i’m telling it to your record box…

play what strikes you as deep…

i could really give a fat f*ck if one of my records in my deep house set is marked “deep tech”…

jeezus…

stop giving things labels…it prohibits you from being a bigger thinker…

apparently you want a life of roses…good luck with that…

do you think you favorite author writes nothing but fireworks for a thousand pages???

it’s all bits and pieces playing into a bigger recipe…

why doesn’t anyone cover “DJ and Theory”?

Easy killer, was just giving him a direction to start in, I’m the first one to categorize tunes by how they feel, regardless of what “genre” they fall into. But for some one who apparently has no idea it helps to use categories to get them started in a direction and let them explore from there.

And just in case you didn’t realize it, I was agreeing with you.
