How often do you find yourself doing something completely unrelated to music when all of the sudden out of no where, an genius idea or solution to a problem just hits you. This is the power of your unconscious at work, which is way more capable then your conscious mind. Unfortunately due to it’s nature of hitting you with ideas at random times these ideas often never come to pass.
My question for you guys is what’s your method for keeping this ideas accessible for later follow through? I’m terrible for putting things in my phone when the idea hits (I hate being on my phone in the company of others, which is a large portion of my time).
Same here… I have binders full of ideas, from random to organized.. I like to keep all my ideas just incase i come across it years later and can actually do something with it. If writing isn’t your thing send yourself a text message or leave yourself voice memo’s on your phone.. Another option is a cheap handheld voice recorder. Have an idea, hit record and just speak it out, listen back when your in need of some inspiration..
My main methods are text messages, voice mail or sending myself an email. Depends on where I am and what is available to me. My hand held recorder is fun to play with to.,
I do this too, i was thinking the other day about this edit i could make to teenage crime, i immediately started recording me humming the beat to the phone like a total retard.
