I had everything so worked out and now it’s just shit with the effects and just so difficult with everything in the new software, I really miss my old software. WHY did I delete it!
The software is acting up crazy and i haven’t even used it for more than a few hours, really hard to get how to use the effects and get back to the old settings.
Really disappointed.
I’m gonna need a midifighter and the effects from the mapping I saw on Eans video, otherwise I am selling this crap straight away, the jog wheels are also not responding like I want!
Did you have traktor pro before? It’s a little different than Tpro, but not so different that it’s hard to figure out. I have to agree that some of the fx don’t work the same and the ladder filter sounds like junk compared to tpro. Maybe your having some calibration/hardware issues too?
I did, and it’s clipping as soon as i try a delay or whatever, it sometimes just freezes completely, I have BIG gigs coming up and this shit I don’t trust at all.
What are your computer specs? If Windows did you try installing the new drivers releases this week? The biggest problem with clipping is that people have the software volume turned up to high. I’m running mine around -5 or so.
Thanks Jojo, I have a Macbook Pro so.
Shouldn’t be any problems, and when I use the ts4 it’s respomding really vad to the effects and sometimes not at all.
I miss the old traktor pro one, do you know if the update will be any better?
Did you install the 1.0.1 update to the S4 software? have you tried to reset to default in preferences? I don’t know anything about T2, but I would imagine NI would’ve take the opportunity to fix some of the issues people complained about.
Okay you really have to be running the 1.0.1 update or else your going to have all kinds of problems. If you can’t find the download it should be in your downloads folder or wherever you have it set for downloads to go in your mac’s preferences. If you’ve gotten past that point already, but can’t find the new install of the program look in your applications folder for the new one. If you’ve got a Traktor icon in the dock you’ll need to replace that with an icon from the 1.0.1 traktor as the install doesn’t automatically do that for you.
That’s the driver update. First lets double check what version of traktor your running. Open Traktor and click on the Traktor Pro S4 logo in the upper right corner. You’ll get a window pop up that tells you what version it is in the upper right corner. If it’s 1.0 open Service Center in the Native Instruments folder in your applications folder and after you log in should tell you there’s a software update available. If it doesn’t then that means you’ve already downloaded it, just not running it. Go back to your applications folder and look for a different Traktor program, it should have a newer date. once you find that replace the old icon you’re using for a shortcut with the new one.
For what it’s worth Rob - I installed from scratch this week - admittedly on PC not Mac (Asus N61J with Windows7). Have run S4 and TP (1.2.7) independently AND in parallel. I have not had one snag on either.
(Other than a warning on 2 tracks [brand new releases n beatport] that ID tags could not be read with S4 - have since discovered that downloads are corrupt).
