I have a Great idea for the KONTROL X1 MK3
How would I get these ideas to Native Instruments!??
They has something great with the MK2 but if it had these 3 key features I think it would change everything.
Let me know your thoughts down below.

I believe there are pinned ‘feature request’ threads on the NI forums.. I don’t think NI have a good reputation for listening to their customers so trying to force it on them by contacting them directly probably won’t work.

That’s because 99.99% of ideas I see pitched are either rubbish or already in production in some way.
I made a mockup of a 4 deck controller that was so similar to the original S4 that the design was shown around the office and I was told “it’s so close to what’s coming it’s not even funny” - 4 months later the S4 came out.
The S8 was largely predicted by a user on this forum but it had already been through a number of pilot models months and months before the prediction.
It’s not hard to predict the future of this kind of stuff.
It might if it really is that good - time will tell.
I’d love to hear/see what your design is. I can email it directly to the Traktor Product Manager but it’s gonna have to wow everyone to get past this page and, if it’s just an X1 with an Audio card in it and screen on it then don’t bother - that’s been mocked up already, a number of times.

I love Traktor, and the X1 MK2 is almost perfect!
Just going to see what I can do and maybe just patent the ideas and introduce them around to some big name brands. Would love to be part of the development process. NI seems hard to get a hold of but I am sure they got enough going on…
NI is my first choice though. <3
I’d bet dollars to doughnuts that they’ve also built prototypes.
I honestly can’t think of a way to really improve on the X1mk2 except maybe bringing back the hotcue layer for those of us who want other things on the front page and don’t feel like completely reimplementing it.
…or really just loop length displays on the mk1.
X1 incl. Audiocard is a great idea. Latency could be better than today : X1 → pc → audio card : 2ms + 2ms = 4-5ms
Why cant this be tweaked like mouse or keyboard polling ?
Also arcade buttons could be nice for fast tapping

What I have in mind is not just a simple tweak… Could be a total re design with all djs kept in mind.

Kids that think that ideas are valuable, lols. Every idiot has a good idea once in a while. Successful people will actually go out and do something.
The OP wants praise and attention for not doing anything at all. Its quite sad really.
Agreed with past poster. If you have the idea, put it into production, make a prototype, and introduce it to companies. Nobody gives a fuck about an idea in words. THey want to see it working in action.

i had an idea once, but someone stole it. it was gonna be called myface, where you could post pictures of your face, and network with other people that had faces.
so i learned a valuable lesson.
