Kontrol S4 Mic
Does anyone know if it is possible to add fx to the mic, and only the mic. Figure it will be cool if I can echo myself out.
Judging from the Shiftee demo, you can record from mic to a sample slot, then apply FX. Not sure if you could do it directly to the mic input - I would assume not. Never touched an S4 though, so take it with a grain of salt.
Shiftee recorded the mic with the loop recorder then added it to a sample slot applying FX to it there. You don’t get FX control in regular microphone mode. You can route the mic through deck D and have full control including FX, but you lose the deck for anything else.
I know how to sample mic and add to loop deck to add fx, but if I can route mic through deck D and have full control that would be great. I looked in manual but there is no documentation on routing to deck D. Is it possible?
You need to set deck D to live input in preferences. Then in input routing change inputs 3 and 4 to deck D left and deck D right.
