Need help with 110-118 bpm stuff

Hey, I mainly play disco, funk and deep house lately and usually stay at around 120 bpm. But I’ve found some tracks at in the range suggested in the title, which I “can’t” play because I simple don’t have stuff to go with it.

Labels and artists will be greatly appreciated

What tracks labels/artists do you already have?

Have you already looked at the labels on which the tracks you have, have been released.

If not, labels genereally release similar sounding stuff.

A quick Juno/Discogs search will help.

Most of the labels where the stuff I play is released on begin at 115 bpm

What artists do you already like and know that do stuff at that BPM?

I’m not aware of the label Begin.

[/quote] I only know Satin Jackets really. What I mean by begin is that many of the labels I know, only have tracks that start at 115 bpm and goes up to 120.

Maybe I just need to dig deeper. I think I was a bit lazy. Sorry the topic, considered it answered for now.

Check out MAM they write some proper disco/funk/deep toons…

Everything you never had (Joe Goddard Remix) -breach
Benediction- Hot natured and Ali Love
Let the sunshine- Dude Skywalker
Youth blood- little jinder
Work it out- Kastle
Shake that- Marlon Hoffstadt & Dansson
Musiqe- Daft punk

Loads of stuff off Justice’s first album.

Those are some of the most notable ones, I’d say.

Try Apparel Music. They have a lot of deeper house stuff in the 1teens.

Monitor 66, Ron basejam, Rocco Raimundo, Finnebassen, Cyril Hahn, Ejeca makes some too! I’m really into this stuff at the moment too I think it’s really going to hit off soon! I’ve just started producing it myself haha

Check this tune out bro

and check the youtube channel, it’s pretty much everything you want on there! Only thing is a lot of it is on vinyl

When you say funk are you talking house still or like ghetto funk and stuff.

check out John Mörk and EchoDroides. EchoDroides focus more on the vintage synths, while Mörk will do keep it deep and low tempo.

Thanks guys! Will look into it

House/disco stuff from 70s, 80s.

If you want the real deal, look for stuff on West End, Rams Horn, Casablanca or T.K labels (plus dozens of others, but a simple google will help)

Alternatively, dive through this lot…

https://soundcloud.com/groups/re-edits-not-remixes

Plenty of very good edits in there.

breakcore

I been playing this a lot lately, it’s just under 110 off memory..

Some modern artists that do the old school funk disco thing you might be interested in

Crazy P

Tensnake

Space Dimension Controller

Basement Freaks do some great funky mid tempo stuff.

I asked if he was looking for that style and he said no. More like slowed down house i guess

Ok, so even if he doesn’t want it, things like this must be posted!!!
