Stand Ideas for the Traktor Kontrol S4

Stand Ideas for the Traktor Kontrol S4

So for many of us, a big question is going to be how the hell are we going to use this gigantic beast at a club or bar? I’ve already heard plenty of people saying they won’t even try. Well let’s figure something out, because I don’t know about you, but this looks to be the controller I have been waiting for.

Post your suggestions, pictures of a variety of booth set-ups, and anything we could use to figure out how to get one of these things to fit in as many locations as possible.

I was thinking perhaps some sort of stand that clamps onto the back of the unit with adjustable legs on rails so they could be moved around to best fit the situation.

whats wrong with the crane stand?

the crane wouldn´t be able to hold since the s4 is pretty wide it would propably fall down when banging on the outer sides of the s4

Since the S4 is rack mountable the stand could incorporate that.

Exactly my thoughts, but maybe the crane could be modified to better support the S4.

you've got problems

are you complaining about the lack of space for ur simple, clean and small setup at mfc? hahaha

This controller is gonna suck, for one it is so freaking crowded! Everything is bunched up and small!!!

anyway how about u guys get the thing first, test it and then try to figure out how u might be able to slip it into a club setting!

my 2 cents!

SS

legs!

I think that by design it should have some sort of foldable legs, that will allow to place it directly on top of a turntable. God knows that those plastic covers at clubs are always cracked and broken (if present at all).

But if you go with the DIY approach, I think you can glue some velcro and create some sort of attachable legs.

two uberstands will do the trick is you want to have it above the cdjs or 1200’s

uberstands aren’t any good for controllers IMO… for laptops, yeah (I use one myself), but for controllers - not so much.

It would be nice if someone would manufacture something that could fit over standard rack mounts using the existing mount points. I’m thinking four legs with just enough height to get the equipment over club mixers/CDJ’s/TT’s.

My thoughts exactly!!! DJ TechTools should be the first to create that one!

hehe thougt about the same thing and honestly i dont know why ni wasn’t thinking about something like that too. i mean it was quite obvious that lacking space in booths will be an issue for lots of potential customers.

two pairs of feet which can be clipped in robust holes on the bottom of the controller could be a good solution. or they could be premounted and foldable. i hope they will think of something like this before the controllers get manufactured..

you guys are oerthinking it : )

super stand

and it was supposed to be “over thinking”

The mixer would fit on this perfectly.
I have the same stand with a xone 92 and xone 2D on it. Weight isnt an issue.

I dont know how you guys treat your equipment… It is very unlikely you will hit buttons with hammer fists or lean with all your weight onto the side of the controller. The main thing is to avoid the MOBILE folding versions of laptop stands. Those are not safe to use.

i would say to get two laptop stand and put the long metal bars together and only use one set of feet.

I have made custom stands for the VCM600 and the APC40. I have also made custom stands for DJ schools.

I’d be willing to put something together if there were a bunch of peeps interested and some consensus on the dimensions etc.

Here is some of my stuff…
