So for many of us, a big question is going to be how the hell are we going to use this gigantic beast at a club or bar? I’ve already heard plenty of people saying they won’t even try. Well let’s figure something out, because I don’t know about you, but this looks to be the controller I have been waiting for.
Post your suggestions, pictures of a variety of booth set-ups, and anything we could use to figure out how to get one of these things to fit in as many locations as possible.
I was thinking perhaps some sort of stand that clamps onto the back of the unit with adjustable legs on rails so they could be moved around to best fit the situation.
I think that by design it should have some sort of foldable legs, that will allow to place it directly on top of a turntable. God knows that those plastic covers at clubs are always cracked and broken (if present at all).
But if you go with the DIY approach, I think you can glue some velcro and create some sort of attachable legs.
It would be nice if someone would manufacture something that could fit over standard rack mounts using the existing mount points. I’m thinking four legs with just enough height to get the equipment over club mixers/CDJ’s/TT’s.
hehe thougt about the same thing and honestly i dont know why ni wasn’t thinking about something like that too. i mean it was quite obvious that lacking space in booths will be an issue for lots of potential customers.
two pairs of feet which can be clipped in robust holes on the bottom of the controller could be a good solution. or they could be premounted and foldable. i hope they will think of something like this before the controllers get manufactured..
The mixer would fit on this perfectly.
I have the same stand with a xone 92 and xone 2D on it. Weight isnt an issue.
I dont know how you guys treat your equipment… It is very unlikely you will hit buttons with hammer fists or lean with all your weight onto the side of the controller. The main thing is to avoid the MOBILE folding versions of laptop stands. Those are not safe to use.
