Re-Gridding seems to be necessary for me too. TP2 re-analyzes every single track on load and messes the grids and grid points up, which is a pain when your whole collection consists of a few thousand manually fine-adjusted DnB and Dubstep tracks. Especially when you can’t find the “tick” button (for the monitor, not the MIDI BPM). Well, it’s probably best to do the weekend gig with the trusty but now old 1.2.7 anyway and read the manual afterwards 
they now have full integration with itunes, now what does that mean? can we edit the itunes playlists in traktor and add bpm etc to tracks that are in the itunes playlist (but havent been analyzed before putting them there) ?
I turned off the auto analyse feature on track load and I am seeing the same thing. This is major mucho lame and is going to result in having to set all of my tracks auto gain levels again.

Which is fine, however I spent considerable time with cue points/loops and the grid for large number of my tracks (not all, but a couple hundred so far). I’d rather stay on tp1 if I have to re-grid everything… When I get some time, I’m going to run a couple of tests to see if it is going to mess with the grid or not (not all of my tracks are locked, just grid’ed and cue’d)…
Edit: I re-read that and it wasn’t as clear as I intended… I’ll re-analyze in a heartbeat if I could be 100% certain it won’t touch my grids or cues (whether or not the grid is locked)…
Heh, all I really want is the pretty waveforms… the rest of the new features aren’t as important to me right now

I am with you 100%. I spin dnb so all of my cue points and beat grids are essential. However, I am not seeing any changes in the cue points and such after re-analysing.. Only custom volume levels that have ben set (autogain) seems to be getting overwritten.

I’ll deal with that.. auto-gain isn’t always perfect in my opinion in the first place, I tend to tweak the gain just by force of habit from the pre dvs days…
Lock your beatgrids before analysing.
have you imported the collection.nml file from traktor 1? or just let 2 analyse and pick up data left by 1?

No, but thats a great idea. Boot up the older version, export the collection as a nml file and reimport into 2. I’ll give that a try, thanks again!

No vertical, but there’s a hidden registry tweak that lets you turn the decks on a 45 degree angle… 
ALL my tracks are locked, so the re-analyze didn’t touch my grids.
Would be a good pointer for people.

You have to be in a “full” or “advanced” flavor deck, so you have access to the “grid” section.
Once your at the grid tab for a deck, its the little headphone looking icon, underneath the lock button.
Yeah good point, I always keep my tracks locked so that might be why it did not touch my grid or cue points.

Sync-Mode
There are two methods for synchronizing tracks: TempoSync and BeatSync.
TempoSync: maintains tempo-only synchronization between the tracks. The phase of the decks will be aligned when the SYNC button is turned on and SYNC will turn dim if
the phase of the decks are shifted. Tempos will remain synced in this mode.
BeatSync: forces tempo and phase synchronization between the tracks. The phase of the decks will be aligned when the SYNC button is turned on. SYNC will turn dim if the phase of the tracks are shifted manually (i.e. Scratching or holding a Deck in the stop* ped position), but TRAKTOR will re-align the phase of the tracks when the Deck plays
normally again (i.e. you release the record or jog wheel).
This concept allows you, even if you are using TRAKTOR SCRATCH, to keep your tracks tempo-matched, and also raise the tempo of two or more tracks simultaneously, even if their phases are shifted!

Interesting. Right click on a mix set under your playlist drop down and there is now a “Restore Autogain (Async)” feature.
