A DJ reality show.
Something tells me none of them are controllerists.
I’m in
OHOHOHOOOO
this ought to be good.
but its going to be on BET so most likely its going to be turntableism
5 minutes after discovering this masterofthemix.com my interest level dropped kinda far down. It’s most likely because I am a DJ myself, but it kinda bugs me that none of the artist on the show have any technical skills. Well out side of Revolution. I don’t know, I’ll check the show if I can remember.
Eh, not really into massive egos. The super late-night time slot (usually reserved for infomercials) doesn’t suggest this show will be good. I’ll check it out when someone puts it on youtube.
Revolution looks legit, I’m going to check him out.
Who is the audience? Paid extras?
they stole my idea…and replaced it with turntables instead of controllers
posted this 8 months ago that’s enough time to plan and film it all right?
haha i’m probably wrong but its pretty close to the idea’s that came up in this thread
something tells me none of them will ever reproduce.
That is the dumbest, most dull concept for a reality show.
Yeah… the only one Im interested in seeing is DJ Rap.. she used to produce some good old skool jungle… but this is such a backward concept… they should keep Q-Bert and Rap and have Carl Cox, Richie Hawtin and some forward thinking people in there… and maybe pete tong just so he can show himself up… lol
looks pretty boring.
could the guy narrating the promo video be any more obnoxious?
wake me up when it over… snore!
DJ Rap was pretty big in the DnB scene over here in the UK but I haven’t heard of any of the others - Think she still does radio shows and the like as well
That said, this looks pish :0)
i dunno, id watch it. we watch boring cooking competition shows all day, so this wouldn’t be so bad. I know a few of them from their productions. I like Vikter Duplaix’s tracks, but they are nu-soul downtempo house stuff, not sure why he’s there with the party style turntablists. He gets dissed in the promo (for doing his thing), bet he’s first to go.
One interesting scene is when they have to dj in front of a white screen where they can’t see the crowd. I’ve done that before where decorated the dj booth with a huge cardboard liquor promo sign, covering me up, and when I asked if we could move it , managers looked at me like i was insane and said no. So i dj’ed a dance floor i couldn’t see.
Jazzy Joyce? I remember her in the 1980s. Wow, where does the time go?
Serious?? There are some big name DJ’s on this list. MOst of them are large in the hip-hop scene. The show concept might suck, and it may not be controllerism, but at least they have some decent talent. Check ya facts!
