If thats what you believe, then sure!
I don’t!

Remember, I am not from the USA, so my info is from outside looking in. We both have been fed different stories.
I probably watch too many conspiracy theories…LOL.
All I know…is that its BS. From someone who has been toking for 15 years…with no incident…no car accident…
My mum said it would stunt my growth…I am 2m tall and like an OX.
All the stories you heard from the old folks…is BS. They don’t know shit!
I am successful at my IT Specialist job…
Don’t see the problem really!
Sure, I will say that it is not the same for everyone. Some handle …some don’t.
However, I think its for us to choose…not to be chosen FOR us.
If you want a glimpse of truth about the medical effects of marijuana read the 1944 La Guardia report here…(yes, former mayor of New York Vincent La Guardia)
Or look up some of the recent studies conducted by Harvard Med… like the one that proves THC stimulates the growth of brain cells.
But as for the reason it was made illegal; well it had several factors.
One being that fact that it was viewed as being popular among minorities, and the white majorities had new exciting drugs like cocaine and heroin.
Side note: Did you know heroin was invented by the Bayer Corporation, yup, the same people who invented asprin.
Another reason is that hemp paper was effecting William Randolph Hurst’s pulp paper business. Hurst, being a media mogul, ran a smear campaign in all of the newspapers he owned in 1936-37 that insisted that marijuana was harmful and should be banned.
With Hurst already losing millions thanks to the great depression, he convinced his buddies in Washington that it would be profitable for both sides to enact an “Stamp Act” which required any cultivator of marijuana to purchase a tax stamp for marijuana, but the crop had to be present at purchase, this was essentially a trap to arrest anybody who came to purchase these stamps, at the same time the government could generate revenue on the “criminals.”
But in the fine print of this stamp act, it also outlawed hemp. Allowing Hurst to expand his pulp paper business to supply the vast majority of paper in the U.S.
My mate is an activist here in SA in regards to using hemp fiber for bricks for Low Cost housing. (I am sure you are aware of the housing problem here)
There are so many more pros than cons!
