So who here is definitely going to UMF and or WMC this year?

So who’s definitely going? This will be my first time at Ultra I’m excited. :sunglasses:

I’m trying to figure out a hotel now without spending a fortune. Unfortunately everything close by look like it is like $400+ a night. The best deals I’ve found at or under $200 a night are by miami airport which is like a 15 minute cab ride away with no public transit so I’m not sure if that’s worth it or I should look for something closer.

I was gonna hit Ultra this year but tickets came out in a rough time for me so i couldnt, but what is the WMC?

Winter Music Conference. It’s like a week during the same time where most of the artists from Ultra plus a lot more play at every club in Miami for like a week straight. Honestly it would probably be more fun doing all WMC (I like club venues better than festivals) but I have to experience Ultra once…

Luckily for me, I have Ultra pool side this year. I can enjoy it this year without having to pay.

I still don’t know how they are going to fit ultra in bayfront with the crowds, it looks tiny relative to ultra proportions.

I still don’t understand how they are going to do it either. They have done it there before, but that was a while back and I wasn’t into the scene back then, so I don’t remember.

They were also marketing it as “Larger Capacity”, which I certainly do not understand.

oh man that does sound amazing. I dunno, i love clubs but festivals are more my thing. Are there tickets for the WMC? If not I might just cruise on down and check out a few shows

I’m pretty sure you can just walk into any club as normal and can get advance tickets to individual clubs like any normal club night. I think you can also get the convention pass which gets you in a lot of WMC events.

Cool. I mean they were going to have Identity at Bayfront and I thought it looked kinda small for even that.

What is B.S is that ultra required a lot of artist who signed at Ultra to only play there, not allowing them to play at WMC.

Hmm looking to book a hotel asap.

The best deal I’ve found is the Mariott by Miami airport which is like $150 a night if you do 3 nights but it would be like a $20ish cab ride to ultra each way and there is no public transit to it.

It would be nice to be closer to the heart of things but everything in that area is $400+ a night.

I think we’re going to stay 3 nights and I’m debating if it’s better to come in Thursday night and drive back home Sunday early AM or come Friday morning and leave early Monday morning.

can’t really beat that price at $146 a night for 3 nights even if it’s a $20 cab ride away and anything else in that price range or under 275 a night that was closer didn’t look too great
